Sometimes we think that we have the right to talk, well because we live, breath, and generally take up space. But when we approach the Lord, when we stand before his throne even in a metaphysical sense, it would bode well for us to learn to listen first. I would say that it would bode well for us to learn to listen all the time, but who am I to tell anyone anything. Yet, it is the Lord Jesus who tells us, "Those who have ears, let them hear." He doesn't say, "Those who have mouths, let them speak." Well I have ears and God has words he wants me to hear and the WORD he wants to share with me and you (wouldn't want to leave anyone out). So let's listen first to the King speak, we may learn something about what to pray for.
